A little help

How to play

  1. Swipe anywhere on the maze to turn your cat, or use the arrow keys or W, A, S and D. Your next turn is remembered, so you can swipe just before you reach a corner.
  2. Eat every kibble to clear the level. Each kibble is worth 10 points, and the side tunnel on the middle row wraps you to the other edge of the maze.
  3. Four dogs roam the maze, each with its own style: Biscuit chases you directly, Pepper tries to cut you off, Rex teams up with Biscuit and Muffin wanders off when she gets close.
  4. Eat a glowing catnip leaf in a corner to scare the dogs for a few seconds. Catch scared dogs for 200, 400, 800 and then 1,600 points; they run back to the doghouse.
  5. A fish treat appears under the doghouse twice per level for bonus points. You have three lives, earn an extra one at 10,000 points, and each level makes the dogs a little faster. Press P or Escape to pause.

A good place to start

Save the catnip until the dogs are close behind you, then turn around and chase them. The dogs take turns heading for their own corners, which is a good moment to clear a crowded area.

Getting to know Kibble Chase

Kibble Chase is our cat take on the classic maze chase arcade game. You guide a hungry orange cat through an original garden hedge maze, munching kibble while four dogs with different personalities hunt you down. Glowing catnip leaves flip the chase for a few seconds, a fish treat pops up for bonus points, and every cleared level brings faster dogs and shorter catnip time. It plays with swipes on a phone or the arrow keys on a computer. Your best score and furthest level are saved in this browser.

A few things to know

How do I play Kibble Chase on a phone?

Swipe anywhere on the maze in the direction you want to go. You do not need to touch the cat itself. Each swipe is remembered until your cat reaches a corner where it can turn, and one long drag can chain several turns. Holding the phone upright gives the biggest maze.

Why do the dogs sometimes run away from me?

Every so often the dogs head back toward their favorite corners for a few seconds before resuming the hunt. After you eat catnip they turn blue and flee instead; they blink white just before the catnip wears off.

Can I play without signing in?

Yes. All six games are free to play as a guest in your browser. You do not need an account, a download or a virtual pet.

Will my progress be saved?

Your puzzle boards, management games and arcade best scores are saved separately in this browser when device storage is available. They do not sync between devices, and clearing site data removes them. You can still play if storage is unavailable.
